Suzanne has been working as a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (Lic. # 35315) since 1999, and has over 20 years of experience primarily treating children, adolescents, young adults and their families. She specializes in depressive and anxiety disorders, ADHD and abuse/trauma. She also has received training to provide Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) treatment, Attachment Theory and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Her theoretical orientation can be described as a blend of Child Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and a Family Systems approach. Suzanne received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies in 1990 from California State University, Sacramento and her Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology in 1995 from National University, Sacramento. Suzanne is also certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

Prior to starting her private practice she was employed by Amador County Behavioral Health as the Children’s System of Care Coordinator, which allowed her to interact with other county departments, agencies, and school special education services, as well as, providing clinical supervision for ACSW and MFT Interns; by Rite of Passage at Sierra Ridge as a Clinical Assessment Therapist for teenage boys serving time for criminal activity and by Folsom-Cordova Unified School District in the Early Intervention Program as a Parent Services Coordinator. In addition, for approximately 18 years Suzanne served as an instructor for Gerry Grossman Seminars to assist future Licensed Marriage Family Therapists and Licensed Clinical Social Workers as they prepare to take the California State Board of Behavioral Sciences licensing exams.
